Cancer and blood services
Starship Hospital’s Blood and Cancer Centre provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and long term follow-up for children and adolescents with cancer and non-malignant haematological conditions.
Community Services Card
The Community Services Card (CSC) can help you with the costs of health care and public transport. You don’t have to be on a benefit to qualify for the card. You can also use the card for healthcare services for your dependent children under 18. Always carry your card with you to make it easy to get the benefits.

Diabetes Centre
The Diabetes Centre in Auckland offers comprehensive support and care for individuals living with diabetes. They provide education, resources, and medical services to help manage the condition and improve overall health.
Equipment and Modification Services (EMS)
The Ministry of Social Development can support you with equipment and modifications to your home or vehicle to help with your everyday activities.
An EMS assessor can help you work out what you need and how to get it. They can also help you work out if you can get MSD funding and talk with you about other funding options.

Cardiovascular Services in Auckland provide care and support for people with heart and blood vessel conditions. They offer treatments, check-ups, and advice to help manage heart health and improve overall wellbeing.
Long term health conditions
Your GP can help you get public health care support for long term conditions like like cancer, diabetes, asthma, heart and lung conditions and more.
Mental Health Services
Most people will be referred to mental health services through their GP or family doctor. Mental health services in the community are funded through Health New Zealand.

Pilldrop is an online pharmacy that can deliver your medicine to your house for FREE.
Publicly funded dental care
If you’re on a low income or benefit, immediate and essential dental treatment may be available to you.
Immediate and essential dental treatment includes treatment such as fillings and extractions, but not periodic cleaning or check-ups. See more examples in the ‘What you can get’ section on the link below.
You can apply for up to $1,000 a year (any 52-week period), to help with immediate and essential dental treatment. You don’t have to pay this back.
Respiratory
Respiratory Services in Auckland help people with breathing problems, including asthma. They provide care, treatment, and support to manage these conditions.
St John Health Shuttle
The Waka Ora Health Shuttle is a koha based community service, delivered by volunteers, that transports people to health and wellbeing related appointments, and then brings them home again.
Vaka Tautua
Vaka Tautua delivers community programmes and services for Pacific peoples, especially to older people, those living with disability, and people seeking support for their mental health.
