Affirming Works

They provide food parcels for Pasifika families in Central Auckland.

Call 0800 0233476 to register your request and details, so a food parcel can be prepared safely for you. Or email food@affirmingworks.org.nz for more information.

 

Auckland City Mission Foodbank

Call their Crisis Care team on 09 303 9266. You will be given a time to collect from the ACM distribution centre at 15 Auburn Street, off Boston Road in Grafton.

Please bring ID.

Care Waitakere

Their foodbank is located at 64 Waipani Road, Te Atatu Peninsula, Auckland. You can call them on 09 834 6480 to enquire about food support.

Communities Feeding Communities

Located at 8 Madeira Lane, Grafton and 1207 Dominion Road, Mount Roskill. They can provide emergency food parcels but request that you call them first instead of walking in to avoid disappointments. Call 09 309 2054 for more information.

FONO

Food parcels for Pasifika families in West Auckland. Call them on 021956633, 0800 366 648 or email socialservices@thefono.org.nz.

Gurudwaras are local Sikh temples that may offer food parcels. Contact your local Gurudwaras or visit their website.

Manukau Urban Māori Authority (MUMA)

For people who live in Mangere, Otahuhu, Otara, Papatoetoe and Manukau, call the MUMA foodbank on 0800 686 232.

Meals on Wheels

Meals and Wheels is a New Zealand Red Cross services that is mostly paid for by your local District Health Board (DHB). Those who use this service will still pay a minimal amount (like $5) for a meal plus dessert. 

You can receive this service if you get a referral from DHB. Please talk to your GP or specialist and enquire if this is an option for them/they can get a referral.  

Mt Eden Foodbank / Kindness Collective

Kindness Collective is located at 5/4 Rocklands Avenue, Mount Eden.

Nurturing Families

Nurturing Families offer a variety of services and programmes designed to support parents and children in our community. From Crisis Packs filled with essential items to weekly parenting group sessions, they offer a safe haven for those navigating parenthood.

Orakei Foodbank

Call 09 521 5712 to request a food parcel, or leave a message with your contact details, how many are in your family, and other things you’d like them to know before they prepare a food parcel for you. Parcels can be delivered to Orakei, Kohimarama and Mission Bay.

Salvation Army Mt Wellington

Call 09 379 7615 to enquire and set a time to collect your food parcel.

Salvation Army Pukekohe 

Call 09 238 5641 to enquire and set a time to pick up food assistance.

South Auckland Christian Foodbank

They deliver well-rounded food parcels out of their purpose-built warehouse in Manukau City.

South Seas

For Pasifika families in South Auckland, call 027 3030064 or 0800 31 13 31 to enquire about food parcels.

St Mark Pakuranga

For families in Pakuranga who would like food parcel support, contact St Mark via thier website.

St Vincent de Paul Auckland

Vinnies Auckland will be operating a “non-contact drive thru” Foodbank on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-12.55pm, 2pm-4pm.

To register for an emergency food parcel, fill the form on their website.

Strictly NO walk ins. Must BOOK first. Staff will confirm date and time of pick ups.

St Vincent de Paul South Auckland

Vinnies South Auckland will be operating a “non-contact drive thru” Foodbank on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-12:30pm.

Student Volunteer Army Grocery Delivery Service

Do you need additional help with grocery delivery? The SVA Grocery Delivery Service in partnership with New World can help you get grocery supplies.

You can order online or via 0800 005 902 using a debit or credit card. A screened and vetted volunteer collects the items from the supermarket and will deliver them to your door. SVA then charges the pre-authorised credit card with the exact amount spent at the supermarket following delivery. There is a $6 delivery fee.

Vision West

Visionwest’s Pātaka Kai provides emergency food parcels for families and individuals who find themselves in need of food support.

Pātaka Kai is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12 and 2pm.
