De Paul House
De Paul House provides housing and support services, focusing on families with dependent children. Their trained Social Work Support team will work closely with the family to transition from emergency housing to a stable home.
Future Ready
Future Ready website is designed to help young disabled people think about what they want to do after school. It was developed by Yes Disability and I.Lead, and co-designed by disabled youth with the intention of creating a better transition experience.
While the website is aimed towards young people, it’s hoped parents, educators and others will find the directory and resources useful in supporting their young person on their transition journey.
One in Six
OneInSix.nz is a New Zealand-based disability employment hub designed to help employers build inclusive workplaces. It is a partnership between the NZ Disability Employers’ Network (NZDEN) and Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People, providing resources, advice, and stories to support hiring and retaining disabled people, reflecting that 1 in 6 New Zealanders are disabled
Positive Pathways
Positive Pathways supports people with medical conditions back into work. They provide training that builds on people’s skills and strengths, help people find a job that suits them, and provide ongoing support and mentoring.
Spectrum Care Transition Support
This programme offers school-leavers transition planning, that includes developing work skills, access to volunter work, vocational programmes and more.
Transition to Work Grant
WINZ can pay for things you need to find or start a job, such as clothes, travel, living expenses until your first pay.

Career training provided by Te Roopu Waiora with whānau and rangatahi hauā.
WINZ Mainstream Employment Programme
If you have a disability or health condition, including a mental health condition or neurodiversity, and you want to work, you can apply to join the Mainstream programmes. The programmes can help you get into paid work and support you towards getting a long-term job.
Work and Income NZ (WINZ)
Work and Income can help you get ready to apply for jobs and find the right job for you. They can even help you while you’re working with things like training or paying the bills.
Work and Income NZ is a central hub where you can easily find and explore these options in one place.
Workbridge
Workbridge is New Zealand’s largest free employment service for disabled people or those with an injury or health condition. We can help you connect with Workbridge by sending a referral to them or you can contact them directly.
